The Harvey / O’Higgins Project is the latest venture by leading British musicians, pianist Graham Harvey and saxophonist Dave O’Higgins. They have known each other for many years, and often worked together in their own jazz projects, such as Dave’s 40-date tour of his critically acclaimed album ‘It’s always 9.30 in Zog’ as well more commercial projects such as Matt Bianco’s 2017 album release ‘Gravity’.
Dave is a two-time recipient of the British Jazz Award for tenor sax. and has also toured regularly with Dave Brubeck’s three sons, Darius, Chris and Dan, as they celebrate the music of the legendary pianist. Graham is the long term pianist for singer Stacey Kent, touring extensively and recording several albums for Blue Note, including the Grammy nominated Breakfast on the Morning Tram. He was also the musical director of the pop band Incognito between 1991 and 2001, recording 13 albums and touring the world multiple times.
Graham and Dave have recently recorded an album with their new project entitled ‘That’s the Way to Live!’.
